Dossier to DC!!

Today we sent all of our paperwork that is requested by the government in a bundle to Washington DC using a courier recommended to us by our adoption agency.  I sent the documents to "Assistant Stork" (cute name, huh?) in Virginia and this woman (who is very sweet - I spoke with her on the phone yesterday) drives the documents that we send to her all the way to Washington DC, to the Department of State, where they put a seal on it while she waits.  Once they give her the documents back, she hand carries our dossier documents to the Embassy, where they bundle the documents together as a "package".  She then drives all of our documents back to her home in Virginia, where she puts the bundle in an envelope and mails them off to our adoption agency.  When our agency receives the bundle, they then send them off to Ethiopia and we are ready to go on the referral wait list.  Phew!  We have now officially done all the paperwork we can possibly do and the waiting begins...  Oh yeah, that does not include the whole adoption grant process which I am in the middle of at the moment and requires a whole different set of papers and writing.  "God, give me strength I need for today and today alone so that each day I can submit again to you."
